The most exciting, thrilling, creative, nuanced and viciously entertaining way you could possibly do with this type of story. The power of Hitchcock. I can’t even find a flaw with this one :/

Also, how the hell did my boy James spit out like 200 lines of dialogue with Grace FRICKIN Kelly smooching up on him???

Maybe the quintessential 80’s action (/thriller) movie? Iconic line after iconic shot after iconic character. Vasquez, please adopt me!

Catch Me If You Can

This film just gets more phenomenal every time I see it. It’s already one of the slickest and most intelligent screenplays I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch, but the fact it’s this whole metaphor on growing up and acceptance, without ever getting too tacky and never losing its undeniable charm just takes it to a whole other level of genius.

The perfect airplane + Christmas movie… Spielberg’s the 🐐

Skyfall

I don’t really use this term a lot, but I have no hesitation calling this one of the most “overlooked” films of the entire last decade. Many who haven’t seen this would glance over Skyfall and think of it as just another Bond film, but this just means to me and is so much more than that. One of the best compliments I can give is that when I watch this, I don’t think I’m watching something out of the…

Saving Private Ryan

From what I’ve seen, film-making and storytelling at some of its finest. Saving Private Ryan can feel like ”hell” to go through at times, as you watch people and essentially the world at its worst and most hideous… but its this compelling story all about courage and pure human integrity at the end of the day, phenomenally crafted by the one and only Steven Spielberg that manages to win me over and leave me a sentimental wreck every single time. Love this one so damn much!

Pulp Fiction

One of my absolute favourite parts about this movie - among many - is that despite the vulgarity and the glorification and the violent nature of it all, it has its fair share of extremely tender moments and details that make these main line of not so amazing characters/people turn out to be not so terrible. It's things like Butch's lifelong honour and generational love, Jules' decision to leave the murderous life he's known for a while to become a…

Gandalf launching himself with Glamdring in hand and at god knows what speed towards the Balrog, knowing full well it is not one to fuck with will forever be one of the most downright badass moments my eyes have and will have ever laid on!

One of the greatest blockbusters (w/ shades of arthouse) we'll ever get to see. I sadly haven't been watching many movies as much as I've wanted to recently, but seeing this is enough for a week or two. Will never stop adoring this… really just a perfect piece of film in my eyes.
