I was worried this wouldn’t hit as much this time around, considering times have changed, and I am now a pretentious film-bro who actually knows jack about the movies they watch… but I surprisingly still got some kicks from this!

I used to delve a lot into the franchise and its books as a kid, and while the former never quite reached the heights of the latter as a whole, I really do believe it covered the fascinating and dystopian lore of it all to a sufficient extent, and brought the characters inside of it to necessary life. This first entry does suffer from feeling too much of having a ‘corporate’ touch, but I really can’t deny how exciting and exhilarating it all is, even after the countless times of revisiting. Banger. And the best thing is that the next one’s even better.
