I’ve always thought as a kid that this was pretty on par with the first, but it’s now without a doubt that this one’s a fair few miles ahead for me. Way more confident direction from Ritchie, a lot more intrigue in which the screenplay unravels through, and the iconic duo in here that is Downey Jr. and Law are so perfect together. I’m confused as to why the world never got any more sequels - could easily watch another three with these guys on screen doing what they do. Arguably cornier and sillier in some aspects compared to the original, but I think that’s exactly why I love it.
