Woke up, opened Netflix, and had no idea that a new Fear Street project was even in the works. My brain hadn’t fully woken up to the fact, that if I hadn’t heard about it until its release, chances are it’s gonna be bad. 

While each film of Leigh Janiaks Fear Street trilogy had an identity, Fear Street: Prom Queen struggles to have one, beyond an EXTREMELY repetitive 80s soundtrack. Most of the kills are also uninspired, the characters are pretty bland and anything that came close to intriguing in the third act was tossed immediately. 

Netflix figured, if Hollywood can cash-grab, so can they.
