i like films just a normal amount

there is no story. there is no anora. there’s some semblance of an idea of a girl called anora, but that’s it. only an idea. i appreciate how mikey madison was working with everything she has, but she alone cannot save this. the plot was thin and felt like it moved along just for the sake of it. sean baker you are lifeless. i’m returning this nothingburger of a movie.
a fever dream in the form of a gruesome candy-colored baby born from the carcasses of helter skelter (2012) and john carpenter’s filmography. the substance isn’t subtle, and it doesn’t want to be. it wants to throw you headfirst into its vivid nightmare, and you won’t be ready no matter how prepared you think you are. an assault on the senses in every which way. the term body horror definitely undersells it.
as for demi moore? by god, isn’t this…
