categories and ratings are entirely vibes based. also i am a big hater.

man. this feels like a film that should've hit me with surgical precision, but it kinda fell apart halfway through.
amazing atmosphere, beautifully shot, interesting themes, but a narrative that felt way too overbearing for how disted it was.
i feel like this would've been a 5 star film if they had put more *or less* effort into shedding light onto the mystery but as it stands, the explanation felt half-assed and only distracted from the parts i did like a lot.
really impressive how all the render farms and 3d theaters in the world can't save you from bad taste and lack of art direction beyond "crank that saturation slider to 100% and don't you dare have a scene that doesn't have 100 different particles and objects in motion at all times"
