Between this, Xanadu and the Sgt. Pepper's movie, I guess I just really have a taste for critically disliked musicals from the late 70's and early 80's. They're all dumb and kinda trash, but dammit, they're fun dumb trash.
I mean, I'll tell you this much: even before I saw this movie, I'd thought about "Reproduction" way more than I had any song from the first one.
I adore this film. It was the first "fansourced remakes" I ever saw, long before Shrek Retold or any of the big reanimation collabs were a thing, and to me it still stands as a shining example of the love a fanbase can have for a work and the creativity they can be capable of.
