This year we have as many winners as we had participants 10 years ago.
Back then Chile was the featured country, 89 people participated, and 22 people completed the challenge.
In comparison, this year we have 269 participants, 88 who completed the challenge (in addition to 31 who watched more than 30 films), and a total of 4,125 new reviews.
Over 4,000 reviews. For one month. Do you realize what you have done? Do you really know how important this is?
This platform isn't MUBI or any other "cinephile" platforms. You aren't preaching to the choir here. You may very well influence someone this year to watch a film from "away" because you rated it highly or reviewed it well…

This platform isn't MUBI or any other "cinephile" platforms. You aren't preaching to the choir here. You may very well influence someone this year to watch a film from "away" because you rated it highly or reviewed it well or recommended it in a list, and it may very well make the viewer a bit more empathetic, or knowledgeable towards people that differ from them.
YOU did that.
And I thank you. I thank every single one of you who participated.
A very special thank you to Johnno who also volunteered when I needed extra help at the last minute. Thanks Johnno!

If there are errors in my calculations, let me know soon and I will fix.
The 89 cinephiles who completed this year's challenge are:

To those who watched 30 films I thank you not just for participating, but for increasing the awareness of each one of the films you watched. And really, I salute you, because you did something I keep wishing I could do!

I hope to see you all again in 2026!
