Despite my hateful tweets as i watched this there were parts of this i liked, basically all relating to Barbara Stanwyck (Fiona Gaylord ily and will get a law degree to avenge you).
Fiona and Austin were a highlight I love a good maternal Stany role, and I quite liked Susanna (not the other sister tho she pmo)

I cannot overlook the laughter after Fiona told her story and the fact she ended up with Charles that is literally horrific and fills me with rage they fully just gave up on her.

this film wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen but it wasn’t good, i can see the concept of it being good but the ‘romance’ was thrown in and undeveloped (though i believe donna reed was actually amazing at communicating the message even though i don’t believe it) and the sporting was okay i guess im not the best judge of that 

1 star for donna reed, 1/2 star for her clothes 1/2 star for the concept and the maternal relationship between donna and the little girl!
