Lexi Amoriello’s review published on Letterboxd:
It feels like Denis Villeneuve has been waiting his entire life to make these movies. You can just feel how ionate he is about Frank Herbert’s Dune. A lot of times when someone adapts a novel that’s already been adapted numerous times, it feels like they’re only doing it because it’s easier than coming up with an original idea or it’s merely a lifeless cash grab. But it genuinely feels like Villeneuve grew up being obsessed with these books and honed his skills as a filmmaker so he could make the Dune movies he’s always dreamed of.
