Some thoughts I had when watching this:
1. Rebecca Ferguson took a very Galadriel-esque approach to being a Reverend Mother, which was haunting
2. I have never seen Timothee Chalamet yell in a movie like this, which caught me off guard. I wonder if he was casted after they saw him rap Roman’s Revenge 😭
3. Javier Bardem and Florence Pugh have such distinct/rich voices 🩷
4. The way they filmed the arena scene with Feyd Rautha was so cool! The colors in this scene went crazy! It really showed how coldblooded many of the Harkonnens are, because it was like the entire planet was devoid of color
5. I was not expecting Paul to put on the moves with Chani so early in the movie, like he was so thirsty (and like probably literally too)
6. I haven’t read the books, but I just know that the unborn baby sister about to be a real freak, and I can’t wait to see what Anya Taylor Joy does with the character
7. I can’t believe Lady Jessica came from that
8. The Bene Gesserit talking about seducing Feyd Rautha with their little post-game conference was so devious and hilarious
9. I literally almost cried every time they rode the worms or came out from hiding under the sand and did their little sneak attack. Like it was so beautiful to me for some reason
10. I felt very close to the fremen by the end of the movie because I ate an ungodly amount of very salty popcorn and soda and was very dehydrated walking out of the theater 💖
Such a good movie, I am so hyped because I love epic adventure stories like this ! I hope they can keep the momentum up 🤞🏼
