Boring, found the acting atrocious. Depp and Hoult are one of the most miscast pair I've seen in a while. They didn't deliver a single line convincingly.
I know I'm being an asshole, but I honestly hated this with a ion. Cringe worthy are the only words that come to mind. If I hear one more person speak in melodramatic old-timey English, I might lose it.
It's not you it's me, literally everyone loves it there's something wrong with me, I don't know… It's just movies at the end of the day. Loved his 2 first titles, but Northman and this are just imho flops.

]]>A techno-psychological Fincher-esque crime drama that I liked a lot!
I praise a lot, but Quebec are dropping bangers too, man.
A great study about obsession and a pretty devastating critique of true crime. It explores 2 completely different type of obsessive behaviour, one of the two main characters is completely in love and emotional about ther killer, but the other is focused, controlling and voyeuristic.
It's a court drama but completely focused on people that have pretty much nothing to do with the case on the surface, quite original.
]]>Another French masterpiece.
Favourite horror of the year so far.
I don't know what they put in the wine over there but man.
The movie is shot in one take with no cuts and my first reaction was to think the whole crew was lying because it is a technical marvel what they were able to achieve here. Apparently they shot the whole movie once every day until it was perfect.
It made me think of the movie Quarantine and Good Time, the former because the story is similar and the latter because it got that relentless never-ending anxiety and suspense to the whole thing that reminded me of it.
I absolutely recommend this.
]]>Way worse than I ed, but still kind of funny. It’s a fun dive back into the cocaine-fuelled insanity of the 80s. It's not good, but it’s got that inexplicable Troma charm.
Watching it again made me realize what’s going on with that Toxic Avenger remake anyway? Did it get shelved? This shit is impossible to remake lmao.
]]>It’s like Dead Poets Society, if instead of standing on desks, they made me want to lay down in a grave.
I'll be honest I gave up on this one midway because my vacation time is precious and this movie sucks ass.
I think I hate the UK now. Movie turned me into a hater.
]]>I’ve seen a few episodes of this show before. I wouldn’t call myself a huge fan, but I always liked the Reno 911-esque vibe it has, except with a bunch of "bros" in California who are way too old to be living the way they do. The way it’s shot, it feels exactly like an old-school MTV reality show, which is very millennial "coded" (if I’m using that term right).
The idea of a whole movie based on this got me curious, so here we are. Jimmy Tatro is absolutely hilarious as Xander Sanders, every time he opens his mouth, I lose it. The rest of the cast does a solid job too. The jokes don’t always hit, but they’re never awful.
I’d say your enjoyment might vary depending on how familiar you are with the characters. Since I already had some basic knowledge of them, I got more out of it. If you’re coming in totally fresh, this probably isn’t the best starting point.
]]>An extremely Canadian slasher movie.
Think Terrifier, but in made by students in Alberta.
Very low budget, but the gore ain't too bad.
Being Canadian, I have the DNA to be able to withstand so much Canada at once, but please be careful if you live anywhere else.
I think Mildred is a pretty cool killer in a genre dominated by male killers, but the movie y'know.... isn't the greatest. It's quite funny though, at one point she runs out of people to kill so she goes after people who were mean to her once, like in elementary school 😂
Give these people more money and better props to make a truly fucked up Terrifier type movie and Mildred could become something cool.
]]>There's like 1 or 2 scenes I found actually scary but it's like 5 minutes and you have to sit through 95 other minutes of pure garbage.
Watched it until the end because I thought "Oh maybe Sadako Vs Kayako will be a cool fight or something" right, nope it's ass.
I know it's supposed to be scary but I just burst laughing when that little scary dude goes "MEOOOOWWWW" 🤣😂

]]>Managed to keep me entertained for a little while but by the halfway mark I started getting bored and it didn't really get better from there.
It's the classic story of someone arriving in a new town, everyone is a bit weird and the protagonist exposes some spooky secret. But they kept it original enough so it didn't feel too generic... it's just unfortunately super super boring and the "Shyamalan" type twist isn't super satisfying.
Worth a watch if you are a Hunter Schafer superfan, If not you can easily skip this one.
]]>I thought it was a documentary about Florida but it's actually a cheap horror movie.
]]>Alright, so I just finished Season 14 and the Special. For this season, they are doing a satire of manosphere podcasts (à la Andrew Tate). The theme worked, and the theme song was pretty hilarious ngl.
They even got a new co-host, "Joey Patron" who is a mobbed up body builder type dude from the Amato family. It's never really mentioned but the Amato's are probably making millions off the Lithium on Tim's property, but he's such an idiot he doesn't realize it at all and acts like G. Amato is just being nice to him LMAO.
While I enjoyed parts of it, I couldn't fully connect with every episode and the special as a whole. Tim's character seemed to act in ways that felt inconsistent with his past behavior. The season felt a bit out of character for him. For the first time, it felt like I was watching a comedy sketch or improv performance, rather than the usual humor. It’s hard to put into words, but it just didn’t feel as authentic this time around.
I want them to go back to basics a little bit, forget about the Amato's they are taking too much space, but it was still hilarious and worth the subscription.

Forgot how dark this special was lmao. ❤️
The idea is fantastic, yes a story about the simple deck of cards, might seem dumb but it's probably the most played game ever. The franchise potential is through the roof. Could be the next Dungeons and Dragons.
Unfortunately because of production issues producer G. Turkington never could accomplish his vision exactly how he wanted. I have no proof but I think actor Tim Heidecker used illicit drugs during production, his skin is green and he looked sick.

]]>There's little point to put this on anymore since the new trilogy is so much better, but back in the day a bunch of us weirdos rented it at Blockbuster and started obsessing over that fucking clown and now apparently it's a global phenomenon 😂
]]>I really disliked this. Just like the first one, actually.
It's not scary, generic demon story, they got Jack Nicholson's son to just do a medley of his father's greatest hits. I'm not the guy to complain about nepotism usually, but like it's so obvious what they are doing lol.
Naomi Scott is fantastic and oozes personality in this, so it's not her fault at all. I just got tricked by the influencer marketing again, because it's not great as a horror movie. I would have taken a story about a pop star's downfall without the horror at this point because Naomi Scott is really bussin no cap. (sorry, I'm severely depressed).

]]>I simply cannot believe that the extreme gore movie Terrifier that only my little horror circle knew about is now beating Joker at the box office. this shit is unreal.
You would think going mainstream would tone it down significantly but Damien Leone said fuck no. It's just shocking and mean spirited and wrong😂. It's even more sinister and mean than 2.
I have to lower my score this time because they clearly want us to get engaged with this Sienna story. but it's been such a mess since the first movie that it's just impossible to follow at this point. The narrative is really all over the place, (Is she an angel? Art is the devil or something who knows?!). Everything between the gore was just especially bad this time. I do love Lauren though she's great.
Anyway I'm nitpicking but it was still extremely entertaining.
You don't get to see movies that are this wrong and insane often.
Enjoy your week ✌️
Very good piece by Coralie Fargeat, what a director, good-looking Black Mirror mindfuck movie.
The theme of beauty standards has already been explored a lot in body horror and this movie uses familiar metaphors and imagery, the satire was hilarious but not saying much new… it's just very in your face and obvious, it's kind of the point I presume though, because every scene with Sue looks like a TV commercial, a little bit like the Betty scenes in Mulholland Drive lol.
The horror was really fucking great though, it's insanely gross and disturbing, I just love French movies, you guys don't give a fuck about anyone's feelings.

Why is this manlet in here.
How am I supposed to take any movie seriously when your actor is breaking the fourth wall every time he shows his face. I can't take the Vault hunters seriously if you have Kevin Hart in the team. Sorry.
This whole thing looks like a theatre play, it's so obvious everything you are watching is on a Hollywood set. The stunt actors just stay there waiting for their mark while we look at Blanchett doing some flips with her dumbass guns.
Everything mainstream fucking sucks and the only one doing good Hollywood movies right now is the head of Scientology. So tired.

20 years ago that was exactly the kind of stuff you would go see on a weekend and have a blast. 2005's Red Eye. It's a bit like that.
The 2 first acts of this movie are during a live concert. I just loved the concept, the suspense mixed with the musical numbers that felt really like a new kind of concert movies almost. There's something cool and different I can't explain.
Unfortunately kinda drops the ball with the 3rd act not as solid as the first hour :(.

]]>The influencer marketing sold this to me as the scariest movie of the century and so insane it's like Hell itself produced it.....uhhh yeah let's pipe this down a bit lol.
It really doesn't come as close as way superior movies like Zodiac or SE7EN. The story was predictable. The detective part of the movie was terrible, the horror part of the movie just wasn't scary.
Cage's character needed a lot of work or be completely recast. I could not take him seriously at all with that makeup and insane overacting, it ruined it for me.
I miss spooky detective movies, and it hit the spot, but it's really nothing special. At the same time there's so many details and layers maybe it will click after a few viewings. I will def revisit it.

So the movie just felt like a long Arcade Fire video if it was directed by David Lynch, in a good way?
It's weird, it's bold, I was never really bored, it's clearly not made for me so. Enjoy. It's pretty dreamy.
]]>A few thoughts:
- If you get really high and grab an Xbox gamepad, it feels like you're controlling him.
- This movie is 50% just watching this murderer have a fantastic time hiking.
- The concept looked cool when I saw the trailer, but the gimmick gets stale after about 30 minutes. I understand why it took so long to make a movie from the perspective of the summer camp killer. Turns out, it's not that thrilling.
- If you want to show me a scene like the kids telling a scary story around the camp fire, keep the camera over the shoulder of the killer in the woods. Commit to your concept. This back and forth between killer POV and regular movie was lame.
- The ranger is channeling his best Leon S. Kennedy.
- I ate a McDouble and nuggets right as the movie started, and I felt sick throughout the whole thing. It's really violent.
- Speaking of violence, I think we might have reached a limit. It can't get much more violent than that, right? At what point do we say, 'I'm good'? Terrifier 3 might just cause a global panic.

]]>It's a great idea, let me say that.
The world is not doing too well right now, a bunch of groups are fighting other groups, everyone hates each other. Racism is on the rise. Like yeah, I can imagine a future where that could realistically happen.
The movie just did not work for me at all. I think the format is all wrong, this should not be a movie. I did not have enough time to absorb the lore, I don't know what the different states are fighting for, I did not know exactly why the people they meet on the road trip are acting the way they do.
Maybe that's the point, and I'm missing something, but this would have worked wonders as a TV Show or limited series. Flesh the whole thing over 8 episodes. It goes from set piece to set piece so quick. Jesse Plemons was fantastic, but what was the point of his scenes?
I was just dying to know more about this world. Just finished the movie and I feel just nothing inside compared to what usually A24 gives me.

The whole thing was spooky as hell, I've been pretty critical of "Catholic horror" lately, but this was extremely well executed. My favourite thing was how they played with light and darkness in every frame. There's one shot where she's walking alone at night in the street, it's pitch black with only one street light on Margaret, and it just gave me a cinematic orgasm, dude.
Totally recommended, especially if you are a nun.

I won't lie, I got a little bit anxious when the movie started and the story had WW2 soldiers as main characters. That anxiety quickly went away when I realized it's not glorifying bad people at all and more about the resilience of the common folk during the post-war. The military is basically never shown. The story is actually really smart if you start to think about what Godzilla symbolizes here.
So here's my review :
It was very fucking badass.
Big Lizard / 10
P.S: I loved how everyone was losing their absolute shit around Godzilla, really realistic. Like yeah a big giant monster just randomly nukes your town out of nowhere, I'd probably start screaming like a lunatic while having multiple panic attacks.

It's a home invasion movie with Instagram models. I know what you are thinking and you are absolutely correct.
It's not great, but it was better than I expected, the director seems to know how to shoot a movie properly I guess. It's important, so uuhhh good job on shooting that movie... uhhhh bye bye.

Jimmy Carr's joke writing process nowadays :

"Alright 20 minutes of my special done. Very productive day,"
]]>One thing about me. I love big cats.... that's it, I just do.
Excited to watch a tiger documentary.
The main problem I have here is that the narrative is complete bullshit, and it's completely focused on it. It's a lot of beautiful shots of that mommy tiger and her cubs, but it's obvious that 90% of the situations and stories are made up and edited by Disney from random footage.
They will be like :
"Oh, oh, there's a dangerous bear on her territory"
- Random footage of a bear
- Cut to shot of tiger mom looking somewhere and hissing
- Cut back to footage of bear that turns around and leaves.
"Seems like she scared him good!"
Bro, they were never on the same frame together, you just made that up? It keeps happening. It's no secret a majority of wildlife footage is extremely edited, but usually they hide it better.
Priyanka Chopra was also a pretty bad narrator, very monotone and boring. She's reading the lines with minimal emotional weight.
