A woman missing a train/not missing a train is the basis of this dual reality romcom. Quite well done but on the second viewing it seemed to drag a bit in the second half. Clever idea, though, and well-played by the principal cast.

Genet's play brilliantly played by the cast of 3. Not for everyone, this is deliberately obtuse, making you work for a meaning. If you listen carefully, though, and go with it, it's not as hard to understand as you might initially think. Rebellion, murder, envy, desire, game-playing, class status and a warped and dangerous reality come through loud and clear. The more you know about Genet, the clearer this will be. Fascinating!
This true story is mostly well-done but the decision to weave bits of the play it was based on into the action comes across as stilted and pretentious and reduces the power of the story. The father seems to be too easily able to change a lifetime of homophobia, making it idealistic rather than realistic. Its heart is in the right place, though. Good performance by Oscar Martinez as the father. Other performances are uneven.
