The central relationship—a morally bankrupt criminal capitalist and his virtuous nun daughter who gradually become more ethical and less rigid (respectively) through their shared experiences throughout the movie—was so immensely moving and beautiful to me. The way they find their peace and balance in poverty and hard work—brilliant.
