The subtle double high five rejection that Scotty J receives was truly painful and hilarious altogether.
Another great touch was the constant jumping that the guys did while they were at Rahad’s house when the kid kept throwing the poppers on the ground. So alarming and tense, yet funny.
“Todd, wtf, did you go crazy?”
I wanted them to explore the downfalls a bit more, but a very good story.
Great soundtrack. Amazing direction!
]]>Felt like a movie Yorgos Lanthimos would want to direct.
The creativity is great, but otherwise the remaining aspects of the film are run-of-the-mill.
Definitely extra points for Robert Pattinson. And also Naomi Ackie. No points for Mark Ruffalo though.

VING RHAMES, YOU ARE A LEGEND! Such an underrated actor/voice actor.
Seeing Milchick in this was so appeasing. Keep booking this man.
I was able to watch this on opening night in IMAX with a few friends. Such an amazing experience.

]]>Didn’t know The Weeknd was playing himself until about 25 minutes in. He’s not really cut out for acting. At least he knows how to make a good song.
Pretty good sound design and some nice visuals within the cinematography, but otherwise a very weak film.
Impressively bad cold streak from Jenna Ortega with her recent movies. How does that keep happening?
Did Big Groove make a cameo on the pier?!

]]>Was Gorr cosplaying as Voldemort?!
I did really like the scene where they fight on planet Sakaar. Pretty beautiful cinematography.
Poor comedy though. Felt more like a spoof.
]]>“Where are you two from, Nose City?”
The ongoing gourd bit was really good. Also thought the crucifixion waiting room scene was hilarious.
It’s hard to top the reveal that Biggus Dickus has a lisp as well.
Always look on the bright side of life.
]]>The sound design is the star of this film.
This movie is chilling, gripping, and felt realistic (but what do I know?).
I always love a stacked cast, and you definitely get a young one here.
Great directing again by Alex Garland. Not complaining about his current yearly release at this point. Need to check out his other work.
Pretty surprised that this sits at my (current) number one spot for 2025 releases, especially towards the middle of the year, but it really is a great project.
]]>The only thing I wanted more of was some more character depth behind the three stooges.
The score and most especially the directing are superb.
Matila Lutz needs to be in more movies.
The window scene in the third act: cue Michael Scott’s “well, well, well, how the turn tables.”
Coralie Fargeat is incredible. 2/2 for me so far (and 2/2 bloodbaths).
]]>I’m so glad Willam finally saw the sailboat ⛵️⛵️
]]>Silly movie, but some great quotes.
“I’m thinking you’re gay.” Parker Posey is hilarious.
“Did it help?”
“No, honey, that wasn’t anything.”
I didn’t know that Lisa Kudrow was so funny either. Her line delivery in this is amazing.
I was almost impressed by Brandon Flynn. He was going all out.
Almost added another entry into the evil Uncle Frank playlist. If only Daddy Frank was an uncle.
]]>Groovy

Kept waiting for it to be revealed that Ned was a delusional murdering psychopath but really he was just a delusional semi-psychopath with no (apparent) murders to his name.
Very solid ending.
]]>Clea DuVall would have made a perfect Clear Rivers if this was made in the 90s.
For some reason this series has a soft spot for me so far. Cheesy movies, but so entertaining.
Mickey Milkovich cameo!
]]>Favorite part was the scene where they first enter the game.
“I’ll be back” again??
The premise of the movie is seen in some form or fashion in so many films nowadays, so that’s cool.
]]>Definitely not a concept we haven’t seen before, but still enjoyed it nonetheless.
Starting to look forward to projects with Sophie Thatcher’s name on it, and Lukas Gage is always fun.
Companion Round 2, anyone?!

]]>Steve Rodgers is Bo Burnham vol. 1.
Dawn Wiener rocks.
]]>Another kids-doing-something-stupid cliche, but this time it’s not overdone and/or annoying, making some sense in a way.
There were a couple genuinely goosebump-inducing scenes too, and I always respect that.
]]>Depp, del Toro, Diaz, Meloni, and Maguire - what a cast for a crazy trip
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
Relieved that it wasn’t titled “The Identical House Across the Lake From the Night House.”
]]>This cast is full of future Academy awards, that’s how you know it’s magic. I always wanted to watch an MLB game in a tree with some binoculars because of this movie. Loved seeing the (now) vintage logos and jerseys of actual MLB teams.
Jay O. Sanders eats it up as Ranch Wilder, the Angels broadcaster.
“Jose can you see?”

]]>Absurd, cheesy, crude, funny, and Daniel Radcliffe.
It’s definitely not for everyone, but it worked for me.
]]>Good performances from Kidman and Macfadyen as well as some striking visuals, but the story lacks depth and creativity. There’s nothing very surprising that happens and it falls a bit short.
Why couldn’t they have called the cops? I don’t quite understand that one.

]]>🎶 “Everybody’s Talkin’ at me” 🎶🤠
]]>Early contender for worst of 2025
]]>Watched on Monday March 17, 2025.
]]>“Oh yeah, they need that right away.” Nicky Katt was so good in this.
Interesting editing choices during dialogue, but it worked.
I haven’t seen Terence Stamp in any other film besides Haunted Mansion, but so far he’s 2/2.
