Well, I'd heard that was better. Really wanted to like this reported M. Night Shyamalan comeback. For a film or two I thought he was on track to be one of the great ones. There's a remarkable command of filmmaking in those first three films that's still mostly there in the ones that follow, even if the stories don't it. Simply by virtue of being a found-footage film the set-up of THE VISIT robs him of what he does best, outside of a couple of sequences here and there. It features the creepiest game of Yahtzee ever put to film, but if I ever see that pipsqueak rap again in my lifetime I'll be disappointed.
