god this was a visceral southern gothic masterpiece BROODING with symbolism about repression and liberation. I constantly felt like I was getting deja vu, watching nightmares I’ve already had. can’t wait to see this at the 2025 oscars

no way can I watch this without feeling nauseous and heartsick and i’ve watched it millions of times. had the privilege of seeing it on valentine’s day 2023 for my birthday in the theatre and I still keep the ticket it in my wallet. means everything to me
