As an animator, the film throws me back to a time where I didn’t care about people’s opinion and simply drew what I wanted for fun… I miss that, I really do.

Worked on this film letterboxd folks!
I loved the original tv series, and I really didn’t expect to work on this as an in-between animator. The animation is just gorgeous to look at. I personally enjoy the film’s psychedelic-like color palette, as I feel it perfectly fits in the genre of avant-garde filmmaking. The editing too is very experimental, and to storyboard the timing in such early stages fascinates me. It’s a movie where I believe newcomers can enjoy, but…
Letterboxd folks,
I worked on this film as an animator!
An autobiographical film of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi’s childhood, it was truly on honor to have a small part in help making an original animated film. It’s a dream to have my name credited in feature film, let alone seeing it in the cinema. It’s such a wonderful story, I hope it makes it into theaters outside Japan.
Animation is cinema
