Love the aliens’ vibe
]]>Aged like milk
]]>Perfect movie
]]>I know it’s a basic film bro choice but it’s pretty excellent idk
]]>Love how DeYoung straddles the line between ridiculous cringe comedy and the nightmarish decent into self hatred. I need another season of I Think You Should Leave soon
]]>An underrated Coens film!
]]>Much like the book, this is just stupid and fun, which is ok! We need stupid fun slashers!
]]>Watched on Friday May 16, 2025.
]]>The Funkytown needle drop destroys me every time
]]>NEED to do this with boygenius
]]>I would love to see Coogler direct a genuine musical. His understanding of music and its power here is truly immaculate.
]]>A decent movie that doesn’t quite reach its full potential. I wish it delivered on the themes that it attempts to reckon with. Good performances though!
]]>Exceptional. Need a rewatch asap
]]>I’m sorry but it has Lily Gladstone and Yuh Jung Youn, of course I liked it
]]>Watched on Thursday April 10, 2025.
]]>:(
]]>Not the point of the movie but I NEED to visit the French countryside asap
]]>The introspective nature of the novel gets lost in translation a little bit, but all in all I had a very pleasant time. Love that dog so so much! When Ann Dowd showed up, I gasped and cheered at the screen
]]>I really dig the concept, Soderbergh’s direction, and the camerawork. I wish that the characters felt a bit more fleshed out and less archetypal. Maybe that’s part of the intention, given that we are introduced to this family through the lens of a presence with no prior knowledge of the family, but I didn’t feel that any of the characters were complex enough to warrant caring about them.
]]>Absolutely gorgeous. NEED to see this on a big screen so bad. I have now seen 2 Wim Wenders movies (this and Perfect Days) and both are masterpieces
]]>Definitely fun at times but this is a deeply lackluster entry in the Eat the Rich genre.
]]>Great date night movie! Blanchett and Fassbender are excellent and I have missed seeing Naomie Harris on screen.
]]>Very solid as a film, excellent as a debut film. As usual, s devours. It’s interesting to see inklings of what the Coens would later perfect in subsequent films.
]]>Very fun! As far as extremely obvious social satire goes, I would take this over an Adam McKay movie any day. Hopefully it doesn’t take 4 1/2 years to see another film from Bong.
]]>I love you Mystery Man <3
]]>Finished season 1, about to start season 2

]]>Found this to be mostly pretty bland idk

]]>When that little diva started crying I almost lost it!
]]>Watched on Wednesday February 26, 2025.
]]>Gripping and timely, but ultimately sort of shallow? Although that criticism feels a bit unfair given the 14 minute runtime.
]]>Watched on Wednesday February 26, 2025.
]]>The way that these officers generate lies in real time to justify their horrific actions is revolting. This should be essential viewing
]]>Maybe I’m just still grieving, but I saw a lot of Lynchian influence this time around. It goes without saying but I’m fully seated for whatever Coralie does next.
]]>Cillian’s career best performance imo. I love that it takes a good bit of time for the emotional gut punch to set in. A film that does not meet its audience where they’re at, and it’s better for it
]]>Quite literally the blueprint for what a romcom should be. Perfect movie!
]]>I have a few complaints and critiques, but ultimately, this is everything that I wanted out of a movie about a toy monkey that kills people. I had a good time!
]]>I really wanted to like this but it’s a pretty colossal mess. Schrader has lots of interesting ideas but none of it comes together in a cohesive way.
]]>Takes a while to really get going but once it does, it’s just sheer gripping and propulsive filmmaking. Good movie!
]]>Sorry moss, eraserhead baby is not cute but I still love him
]]>Watched on Thursday February 6, 2025.
]]>Pretty astounding work from everyone involved. Fernanda Torres is truly excellent and I would be thrilled to see her win the Oscar. I will definitely rewatch this and probably have way more thoughts on it but I’m feeling pretty floored.
]]>Wish I never watched the second trailer. Very fun and twisty, but it certainly falls short of the exhilaration I experienced during Barbarian.
]]>Ultimately glad that this film was Best Picture nominated but Aunjanue Ellis Taylor and RaMell Ross were robbed
