For such a long run time, you'd expect A Silent Voice to get into full detail of what it's about, but instead, it mashes a bunch of different topics together, such as being deaf, regret, bullying, redemption, etc. and it all feels cheap. I really hate catching myself feeling sad while watching these manipulative films that don't feel genuine whatsoever. Mostly because they crank up the music and have this cute loli crying; of course I'm going to feel…
