With stunning cinematography, electric performances, and music used to perfection - Sinners is EASILY Ryan Coogler’s best film to date.

While this may be a “horror” film, Coogler makes sure to steer clear of any tropes you might be accustomed to. Character development is PRISTINE and the scares are new and few. In doing so, it allows for the film to actually catch you off guard and for the atmosphere they’ve created to speak for itself.

Everyone’s performance is INCREDIBLE…

While it only echos shades of its predecessor, The ant 2 is a fun time nonetheless.

The differences between the two films ARE drastic, however the core elements we know and love carry over. Ben Afflecks portrayal of an autistic hitman continues to be brilliant nonetheless, all while Jon Bernthal’s portrayal as his counterweight hard-hitting brother is played to perfection.

Although multi-genre films usually provide nothing more than run of the mill popcorn flicks, Novocaine actually manages to standout. 

For a film that is oddly insistent on the culmination of multiple genres, this is the first time this year I’ve seen it done correctly. Novocaine is not only funny, action packed, and romantic, but….it’s actually well written. You seamlessly bounce back and forth between different genres without feeling as if they are doing too much.
