Jake’s review published on Letterboxd:
The price of power is vast, abyssal, ravenous. Identity is just one of the many victims of power, but it is perhaps the most damning of all. Your heritage, your family, your love, yourself. Power has no room for this. You leave the rest behind, for it drags you behind. But it will then become all you are. There’s nothing left but the lust for it. Webs are weaved, deceits are committed, and all love is deemed weakness. It is a tragedy as old as time, and it will remain tragic as long as time stands.
