I respect the move here of making your directorial debut an action movie about you beating the shit out of people who fucked with your family, but this would have landed for me much better if it was strictly that. This unfortunately gets somewhat bogged down with the plot and its many long flashbacks of the same god damn thing, but there are things to appreciate.
