Kind of unbelievable we had to wait 20 years for an spiritual successor to the vastly underrated “Josie & The Pussycats” but here it is and, aside from some really delineated and unnecessary gender politics speeches, this is a very worthy owner of that badge.

Colourful, cheeky and very self conscious, this is one gorgeously designed and very funny toy advert (kudos to Jacqueline Durran in Costumes and Sarah Greenwood & Katie Spencer in Decoration and Set design)

Never rises above it’s amusing set up to deliver a truly funny experience. Or many laughs, for that matter. Which is a shame, especially with a cast this talented and likeable. In fact, Robertson and Byers are arguably due for breakthrough roles, especially after being amongst the best things in Dear White People… and Harlem.

The twist also feels deadly serious, which leaves a sour taste that contrasts with the jovial tone it has adopted up to that point. 

Diverting enough but a missed opportunity.

Brings a sense of fun to the franchise that was sorely missing from it's previous 2 adventures (Sorry but Skyfall is way too overrated. I love me some Judi but that was ponderously boring). Craig has mastered the art of being vulnerable while pummeling and killing everyone on sight and it's without a shadow of a doubt the best Bond in history just because of the amount of physicality and emotional groundwork he brought to what is basically a cypher.…

Overblown but very fun, stylish and entertaining.
