“The condition of retrogradation is contrary or inharmonious to the regular direction of actual movement in the zodiac and is, in that respect, evil. Hence, when malefic planets are in retrograde their maleficence is increased.”

We come to find out Sally is a Capricorn, and Pam reveals that Capricorn‘s ruled by Saturn, which ,at the time of the story’s events, is currently in retrograde.
In astrological , to be in a state of retrogradation means to be moving backwards in…

I truly believe this film to be one of the coolest and most thematically rich horror films of the 21st century.

It Follows embodies the fear of growing up, especially when the fear is inextricably attached to sex.

Loss of innocence. You’re never gradually introduced into adulthood, typically it feels forced upon you — Just like how this horror is forced upon Jay. It’s assault; a blatant trauma forever attached to sex.

Strips away the queerness and overall fun of the trilogy that proceeds it.
If you’re a fan of 80s music the soundtrack will at least keep you entertained! And, of course, Katherine Waterston!!!!!!

Lilo & Stitch

It has a lot of heart thanks to Dean Fleischer Camp.
But in the end, it really only made me want to revisit the original.
Great cast with one big glaring issue whose name rhymes with Schmach Schmalafianakis.

Oh man, I think I’m going to be in the minority here but I genuinely felt this movie puts forth a valiant effort. At times it even succeeds at being eerie and creepy. It fully feels like a video game adaption, probably for better and worse.

So much of this reminded me of Silent Hill (2006) - how focused it is on recreating the world and iconic scenes known by fans from their respective video games. Maybe it does try to pack in too much fan service, but the end result is still a swift and entertaining adaptation.

Angelica Houston serving witch looks and wanting to kill children and pushing baby carriages down a hill?!? She is a gay icon there’s no doubt about it.
