I've felt this many times before but this film again reiterates that Malayalam cinema should take lessons from Tamil cinema on how to make political films....
A protest for land organized by the marginalized that was destroyed using state-sponspored violence SHOULD NOT be used as a base to tell the story of a policemans guilt and helplessness. Sure that should be addressed too but that's a subplot. The moment they decided to take the focus away from the real issue and show Tovino in slow-motion running to save people, the film loses all its merit...
