I happened to find myself at the Sidney, IA high school play watching a rendition of this tonight. I got home, turned on the TV, and by incredible happenstance I see it's on while flipping through the guide.

I find it hard to believe a better movie was made in the year 1952 so I don't understand how it doesn't have a best picture win.
