Way better than I . The scenes of King Kong on the sea and then carrying on the net are directly lifted from the 1962 King Kong v Godzilla. But at least this time Kong is not sleeping after getting drunk. The movie was not as silly as I ed until the last 40 minutes which was completely stupid but still fun. You can just remove Brian Tree Henry and Milli Bobby Brown from this movie and it won't make any difference. What a waste of runtime and money. There are also a few things I understood better this time that didn't make sense the first time since all the Godzilla movies are fresh in my mind this time. But this is still the weakest of the Monsterverse and each movie felt less and less inclined to be trying to be something more than just monster movies. Hope the next one won't go down the same route.
