Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

My GOAT.
Okay, I'll try to keep the Tom Cruise glazing to a minimum, it's not like the guy needs it...but...that crazy sonofabitch.

This film is long, it kind of meanders in places, some of the writing is a bit hokey, but I was still thrilled and dazzled and that's why we come to the movies, and this franchise specifically.

About 2/3rds into the movie I was like, "I love teams, teams are so good." No one really thinks of…

Still loved it, but as a film following Rogue Nation and Fallout, it's kinda missing a little bit of spice. I didn't realize just how spread out the action is. The airport chase is pretty fun, but it's fun in a very muted spy movie hijinks sort of way. The big stunt off the cliff is amazing but it's sort of a one and done sort of thing.

Sorry, he's doing fucking insane stunts. If you want every character to talk about how amazing and heroic…

Eternals

★★ Watched

Eternals is a mess. It's not particularly good, but I still enjoyed parts of it. It's filled with so much nonsense, it doesn't do it's huge ensemble cast any justice, the pacing is stilted, the villain is forgettable, a lot of the writing is sloppy. It's poorly put together. It feels simultaneously overly ambitious, and frustratingly limited in its scope. I think the scope alone will generate some excitement and defense from MCU fans, but in the long run it'll…
