"(You're not the) main character" vibes.

It's at this point, after watching Chunking, In The Mood, Fallen Angels, Days of Being Wild, and now, Happy Together, that I can undoubtedly conclude that Wong Kar Wai is THE master of depicting loneliness, longing, and lost love.

What a timeless film. Could be released today, and would still be as relevant as it was 15 years ago (OMG this movie is 15 years old???).

I re-watched this after a decade, as a study session on Aaaron Sorkin's writing style.

Makes me realize that for a 2-hour feature, he sure can jam-pack its script with a looooot of lines. Not complaining though. His use of arguments, banter, irony, sarcasm, and gut-punchy lines is truly masterful.

I love films that deal with duality.

We probably relate tons with Jeffrey Beaumont, but sometimes we have Frank Booth moments, too.
