It’s actually unbelievable that this is so good. I’m shocked that this got so dark because up to this point even when One Piece addressed topics that were dark it never really got tonal dark. The second half of this is essentially a horror movie, I found it very interesting. I kinda doubt the One Piece movies will reach these heights ever again but that won’t stop me from watching them.

This is so frustrating because the second it started getting interesting and it started pulling me in it ends. The pacing made it inherently difficult to get invested in anything that’s happening until the exact point that it ends. Dungeons & Dragons doesn’t really lend itself to short form storytelling, even one shots are usually at least an hour long. It needed to be maybe ten minutes longer and it needed better pacing.
