Feels like a REAL MOVIE (derogatory)

Hadn’t seen this in a long time. Watched it after rereading the novel. It’s still a mostly good movie, but at the same time it’s a terrible adaptation. Schrader (and probably Scorsese and whoever else) was out of his depth with Kazantzakis. And the score is unbelievably bad. I might elaborate later

Not nearly as bad as everyone seems to think. It’s funny enough throughout, and the second segment is especially good, not just because of Kate Lyn Sheil (but obviously mainly because of her), but because it’s also really beautifully shot at times
