In a Vulture piece about Tim Heidecker’s new standup special, they mention Rewires America when speaking about the kind of standup that’s gone so past it’s sell-by date that it’s fermented into something funny again. The kind of humor that announces it’s “for the men” to thunderous applause and cheers - as though there had been a ban on stereotypical masculinity in 1991 and Tim Allen was the Harriet Tubman for folks with a dick and a sense of humor.

I gotta commend these dudes for being as devoted to human extinction as they are, but I can’t help but sense an underlying childishness in their whole philosophy. Realistically, there’s plenty of space and resources, it’s just that sociological elements get in the way of environmentally focused land management. I don’t want to go into the ecofascism element to the whole “world extinction” thing, but I’m sure someone who’s smarter than I am could explain a deeper level of why…
