Fascinating to see early work from not only Topper Fabregas and JC Santos, but also director Gino Jose, screenwriter Luigi Gonzalez, editor Carlo Manatad, and colorist Timmy Torres. A simple film set in the midst of a water festival. It doesn't dwell on the spectacle of the festivities, but instead finds pockets of silence where friendships are rekindled between John (Fabregas) and Trey (Santos).

Was not as in love with this as I had initially hoped. A cuckolding of the writer who spends more time philosophizing about writing than actually writing. Purposefully solipsistic, where a writer lives in prison of his own making. But it definitely captures many of the anxieties around writing—including the one about ing your deadline and the shame of seeing your editor. A hilarious movie about the futility of originality.
