Yeah well any movie that opens with *that* is guaranteed to be a wild ride. Hilarious and stressful in equal doses, Emma Seligman's feature debut perfectly conveys the horror of family gatherings under a roof of raging dysfunction. Not saying I relate to the plot at hand, but I connected to the type of event they had set up. Being dragged from one person to another, the formalities and hearing that question about career prospects dozens of times sent chills down my spine. My first fave film of this year... brb recommending this to everyone.
