This movie has that feel of ‘classical’. The cinematography and score feel like something from the 50’s - 60’s. You can see inspiration from the likes of ‘Tarkovsky’ when it comes to the composition of shots.

Unfortunately the story loses its momentum about 2/3 into the film. Which is a shame as the dinner table scene felt like the film had really found its foot. But unfortunately what (in my opinion) should have been the climax, ends up being spoken…

Watched: 2025 4K Version

It was an absolute delight to be able to watch this in 4K in IMAX. It looks so crisp and sounds fantastic. Pink Floyd are my favourite band, so this is a biased opinion. But I think this film is fantastic and you get that little insight to where the band were, before Dark Side of the Moon.

I don’t like his walk, it makes me feel on edge.

Little me thinks some of these shots might by heavily inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky, especially when the tone changes.

I liked it. Nice and sweet.

This will forever be my favourite Wallace and Gromit film. It’s so witty but dramatic at the same time.

The “Good grief, it’s you” line still cracks me up every time I watch this film.

Fun little Easter egg: when Wallace enters the museum room full of animals you can see the Puma from the original 1989 version of creature comforts stuffed in a glass cage. Who ironically never appeared in the later 2003-2006 tv series. I’ve always thought that was great attention to detail for both productions.

God I love Aardman so much.
