I miss Film Comment

Wall-E for the 20's. Post apocalyptic but in a more subtle way. For children it's about accepting difference and overcoming adversity, for the adults its about deinstrumentalization, parenthood and community building. Chris Sanders' solo work tends to be a bit over-boarded. His last film the Croods felt like it was directed on rocket powered roller skates. The Wild Robot is only an hour forty-five but there's almost too much movie. Glad to see he's still in the game and putting out such strong work regardless.
