The biggest one. The massive, bloated, unwieldy finale. The biggest stakes, the most globe trotting, the biggest set pieces. Surprisingly the most somber of the series. The underwater section alone is just mesmerizing. I’d either clench my seat so hard or forget to breathe at times during its big highlighted set pieces. I wanna view it again already, so much to take in but it’s a constant blast. So good. Love this. Cruise forever.

Probably the best one in the franchise? The most I’ve felt the ideal feeling of “popcorn summer entertainment” from recent pictures. Almost like an electro shock to the franchise like Saw 10 was for its franchise. Probably the most legit and depthful in expressing the horrors of generational trauma since Halloween 2? I love this film to death. Could watch it a million times.

Tony Todd’s scene made me cry and is one of the best filmic final performances I’ve ever seen. RIP to the legend, the goat, Tony Todd. I’ll miss him desperately.

“The Night Blade Feeds”

Akin to a current generations Conan The Barbarian or Excalibur. A death metal roar over an alien landscape littered with spiritual conduits and burnt flesh. Hallucinogenic vindictive course of a revenge journey. Just really hits you the experience of witnessing this tale and this land and it’s people. Skarsgaard’s hulking manifestation of pain, Anya Taylor-Joy enchanting with hair of a Valkyrie, everyone just really throwing themselves into it. Nicole Kidman, I mean good lord.…

“He eats at the core of victims souls”

Pain thicker than blood. Nightmares more concrete than reality. Trauma and regret the constant parasite that drains away. Constant motion of inexplicable transgression as a byproduct of immovable emotional injury. Screams and rage fill the air. In the midst of darkness and chaos, a white horse approaches and awaits within the sunder. When the nightmares come back, will anyone be near?
