Two thumbs way up! Not only does this movie have some of the most sensational stunts EVER, but it's also got one of the greatest movie callbacks in—Red Light, Green Light; if you know, you know. Honestly, there's a line in the movie that, for me, sums up Tom Cruise's entire career: "He did it; the son of a bitch actually did it.” This film not only showcases Tom’s incredible acting talents but also his countless skills as a world-class technician that I can only assume are sured by real Navy SEALs or literal secret agents, and cements his status as a true cinematic icon across all generations.

😱 A LAZY HORROR MASTERPIECE 🍿

For all the greatness that is Freddy's Revenge, a few things kill me every time I watch it. Let's think about this for a second; you're directing the follow-up to the mega hit that the first one is, and you reuse shots like Jesse and Grady doing push-ups, come on, man, that's just super lazy. The funniest though, is Jesse and Lisa reading from Nancy's diary, but they're holding the book so that we see ALL THE PAGES ARE BLANK 😅; seriously. Here's the truth: all those things add to the movie's charm, and honestly, some of the highest highs are in this movie, like when Fred tears off the top of his head. That scene devastated me as a 10-year-old kid, and the moment I KNEW this Freddy Krueger guy is just different, I mean, I don't see Michael Myers or Jason ripping parts of their own body off to freak people out😮🍿. That level of creativity and sheer unpredictability sets Freddy apart from our other favorite horror icons. The blend of dark humor and horror in those moments really makes the franchise memorable and keeps you on your toes. I love that stuff.

These two get WAY too much hate, to the point it boggles my mind. Honestly, for all the shit Sheri gets, she's a courageous actress who throws herself into the material. Her portrayal of a heartbroken mother is incredibly genuine and raw. Also, the shot that Rob created after Kid Myers' arrest, where the camera pans across the Myers house showing all the cops and reporters frozen in place, and ultimately settles on Michael as he slowly turns his head—my good God, that's how you direct a frickin scene. Rob Zombie masterfully builds tension and suspense in spades; every detail in that moment draws you in, making you feel the weight of the situation and the looming danger that Michael embodies. A documentary that can be summed up with one word—RIVETING. This was wild; basically, this skeptic goes out of his way to find witches and Shamans to curse him, because he wants to prove to himself whether magic is real or not. This movie continues to grow on me like a damn weed, and for real, the message hits me so hard. Casey-freaking-Affleck, that dude can act his ass off. His performance as Lee is out of this world, I'm not kidding you, his way of portraying guilt, depression, numbness, loneliness, hopelessness, and that's all BEFORE his brother dies—amazing. For reasons I'm not going to delve into, I watch a movie like this, with a character like Lee (Affleck). I see myself in him, and films like this get me on an emotional level that stays with me for days. I don't know if that makes sense, but even now, I'm still thinking about the movie and how it ended. On that note; the way the film wraps up with the audience hearing "JUST LET IT GO" by Lee of all people, I mean, damn that's powerful; it's both beautifully hopeful and heartbreakingly sorrowful because that could be interpreted that he's finally going to start living again, OR he's now truly ready to move on and leave this planet; since he finally has closure with his ex-wife and now that his nephew is all set. What a masterpiece.

This was excellent, and I have to get personal for one second. The new scene with Rocky talking to his son before he leaves for Russia got me so emotional. Now, I can't relate to being a father, but I am a son, and in that scene, I almost feel like Rocky's talking to me, too. Guys, my father is the exact opposite of what Rocky is; he was not a person who ever was present in my life, and he would NEVER talk to me the way Rocky spoke to his son. Honestly, I've always wanted that, and I'm 34 now, like, I'm over it, but seeing moments like that still get me. Deep down, Rocky knows this might be the last time he sees his son, and the last time his son will see him, and he gives him this beautiful speech about doing what's right for you, to go out and live a life you're proud of. SPIDER-MAN 2.1 EXTENDED CUT — 🕸RE-EVALUATED🕷

The well of emotions runs deep in this multi-layered character study of responsibility and sacrifice, directly opposing personal freedom and self-fulfillment. The idea of Spider-Man excelling as the city's hero, always there, waiting, helping, serving, all the while, Peter struggles in his personal life. He's not just struggling a little bit, the freakin' guy has no friends, flat broke, no career, failing college, and the ONLY other thing he's successful at besides being Spider-Man is helping the one company that constantly humiliates Spider-Man — I could write a book on the psychology of that whole situation. Peter's actual battle is internal. He grapples with profound depression, haunted by the belief that he is responsible for Uncle Ben's death. Alone and isolated throughout his life, he finally finds the woman of his dreams wanting to be with him. Yet, the only way he feels he can protect her is by rejecting her, sacrificing his own happiness to uphold the responsibilities thrust upon him. Guy's, I could go on, and on, about how SENSATIONALLY great this is, and the scene where Peter rejects Uncle Ben, where he tells Uncle Ben he's done with Spider-Man, my God, a powerful scene that resonates with everyone's struggles on so many levels. Another masterpiece only sured by my favorite superhero movie of all time, Batman '89.

Spider-Man 🕸 RE-EVALUATED 🕷

Since my childhood, I've absolutely LOVED two superheroes unconditionally: Batman 🦇 and Spider-Man 🕸️. I'll tell ya, and this may sound funny, but it's true; seeing this on the big screen as an 11-year-old was life-changing. Even as a young boy, I was completely captivated by Peter's struggles; being the quite kid in school, the social outcast, smaller and weaker than his school mates,—guy's, that was me all through grade school and middle school. Thank God I hit puberty before high school 😅—TRUE STORY! The two moments that stuck with me most as a kid were when Uncle Ben dies in Peter's arms, and to this day, I get emotional at that scene. The second moment that always gets me is when Goblin gives Spider-Man a choice to save the kids or Mary Jane, then drops them to their deaths. In that moment, Spider-Man, without thinking or considering his ability to handle the situation, I mean, he's got Goblin right in front of him, armed and ready to kill him, and he just jumps and SAVES BOTH, against all odds. I LOVE that at the moment, for me, Spider-Man becomes an actual superhero, he's completely selfless, operating only to serve and protect, and willing to do ANYTHING to save the lives of the innocent. Like Batman, Spider-Man has trauma, inner pain, and loss, which fuel him, but unlike Batman, Spider-Man still goes out and instills hope and kindness in his City. I've always LOVED that so much. The last thing I'll say is that Danny Elfman's score and theme for this movie is a masterpiece, one of his best, and honestly, it is only sured by his Batman '89 score.

Eventually, you'll see your reason, uncover your WHY, and find fulfillment. Trust me, I've lived it, in my own life, and I've made uncomfortable changes that shook me to my core. I'm still here, and I'm still giving it my all. It'll be scary, but take a leap, one step at a time, and we can do it together. , the ONLY time you truly FAIL is when you GIVE UPNEVER give up on your dreams. Guys, the run of comedies we got in the '90s through the early 2000s just hit different, like, they had an edge to em', ya know. I'll tell ya something else, the wedding singer cracks me up, 😂—when he starts singing Total Eclipse of The Heart—and starts dropping multiple F-Bombs 🤣 and he's singing with such gusto; my God, I lose it every time.

20th Anniversary Theatrical RE-RELEASE!

What a great Sunday! I did my laundry, cleaned my home, got groceries, and saw a Star Wars movie. Guys, I had a RUSH of nostalgia as I sat down to rewatch this on the big screen, and crazy enough, the theater I was in was PACKED! I when my uncle took me to see this 20 years ago; and WOW, as a 14-year-old, I still being RIVETED during the last fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. It's incredible how this movie, even after 20 years, still manages to captivate the kid in me. This one just hits differently, ya know! Aside from the excellent setup for the original trilogy, this movie has SO many incredible life lessons, like: only Siths deal in absolutes, true EVIL always stays in the shadows, and lastly, you NEVER, and I can't stress this enough: you NEVER sacrifice the high ground!

Firstly, this gets high praise for having the BEST and most BRUTAL 🎃 Michael Myers 🔪 in it—my boy Tyler Mane; HELL YEAH! Guys, Joe Dirt was, is, and will always be an absolute blast! To keep it real, this movie is funny as hell! I when I first watched it with my brother; my mom rented it for us on DVD, which really made our night! Honestly, we were the perfect age for it. We totally soaked up the immature humor, the low-hanging fruit jokes, and the incredibly hilarious bits featuring so many impressive cameos—I'm looking at you, Christopher Walken! I completely forgot that Brian Thompsonthe badass killer from Cobra—is in this as a discount version of Buffalo Bill, or should I say Buffalo BOB! 🤣😂😅 I genuinely think this movie is a masterclass in crafting an engaging comedic story. With Joe Dirt being interviewed, the audience follows along as he shares his origin story, and I just love that. It's so much fun, so silly, and ridiculously nostalgic. At the end of the day, just as Joe Dirt says, you just gotta keep on, keepin' on, man!

Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up; it's bobsled time!

Let me tell you something: as a kid, I would watch this weekly, and like most John Candy movies, they just hit differently. There's so much about this I adore; I love the characters (Sanka you dead?—Ya, mon 😅), I love the underdog story, I love how pure Derice's motivations are; the guy wants to be the best, to honor his father, his family, his country—RESPECT, and John Candy's character, goes through a powerful character arc. That guy has given up, he's wasting away, he's aimless, and it's Derice who, in a way, resurrects him and sparks the fire in him to take on the challenge of creating something special, something bigger than himself. Wow, what a hell of a movie, and course, it's a true story; what a powerful film that reminds us that anything is possible.

This is a super special movie for me, one I can't tell you how many times I've watched over the years, and one I throw on now and then when I need a little reminder in my own life that with enough faith in something bigger than myself, call it, spirituality, religion, God, Angels, or what-have-you, but when you believe in something outside of yourself you can accomplish and gain more than you could've ever fathomed. After all these years, this is the first time that I saw Roger's dad in a different light; I get he's a dead-beat father, someone who has a son, a child starving for acceptance, and yet, he willingly gives his only son away, to the state, into the nightmare for many kids; foster care. But can you imagine how deep in depression and despair his father must have been in? I mean, at the beginning of the film, we're introduced to him when Roger comes home. Well, home for Roger is a temporary foster house, and we learn Roger's mother recently ed away; we clearly see that Roger's father is a broken man, a person who's now a traveler, a wanderer, who sold his house, his car, quit his job, bought a motorcycle and just is willing to drift probably to try and deal with is unbearable pain. But, in the end, it's Knox (the Angel's manager) who also was abandoned by his father who ultimately accepts a greater responsibility to take care of Roger and his best friend; damn guys, this is just a beautiful movie, a flawed masterpiece, and one I will always keep close and re-watch when life gets messy.

Guys, I'm so biased; I LOVE this damn movie; I mean, I've always liked it since I was a kid. But now that I'm older (not OLD) 😉 I think it's actually kinda brilliant—and what honestly freaked me out the most is I'm now the SAME AGE as Brendan Fraser's character in the movie!—people, what the HELL happened 😅🙄. So the story is CRAZY, but it works because everyone plays their part completely straight, even Christopher Walken, who honestly STEALS every damn scene he's in, as the dad is completely believable because of his motivations. But my God, when the dad (Walken) first goes up to the surface after 35 years, 😂 I lost it—COMEDY GOLD—and bless his heart when he meets the prostitute, who happens to be a trans-person 😆—guys, the stuff of comedy-GREATNESS! I'll tell ya what else had me ROLLING last night; it's the blatant continuity errors that I think were intentional, like the one scene where the house is completely destroyed when the plane crashes into it, but, in the next scene, the house is completely fine, kinda burnt, with a GIANT hole in the yard were the plane actually missed the house 🤨, just so oddly hilarious. Guys, watch this; it's crazy, it's bonkers, it's funny, and it's got a GREAT message. If you're a kid who grew up in the 90s, it's a crazy nostalgia trip.

Way better than I expected, but the movie just lacked the teeth I was hoping for, like; I wish it explored what true love is; I thought it would have been INCREDIBLE if the movie delved deeper into the fact it's the robots who are the only characters who, ironically enough FEEL true love, opposed to ALL the humans who are just S, literally and figuratively. Also, this could have been a RIVETING revenge thriller once the chick escapes and can increase her settings; I thought it would get crazy when she increased her intelligence to 100%, BUT that didn't make all that big of a difference. I don't know; this was FINE, but ultimately a HUGE missed opportunity.

*SPOILER light*

Guys, I thought this was pretty damn BRILLIANT; I love how the story was told—with the first half playing like a historical drama, and the last half, of course, being straight-up vampire/horror/revenge thriller—SO SATISFYING in MORE ways than ONE. I loved how the themes of a past evil or the ''devil'' are always at the forefront of our minds even before the music starts playing at Juke t—my God, the sub-plot on loss, and the idea of the pain of loss being temporary was awesomely bookended by the ending when both bothers are reunited with the women and families they lost, I felt that was so well set up and so gratifying for the audience. Lastly, I LOVED the main vampire, who impressively wasn't the nastiest character in the movie; he actually gave a SUPER compelling 'sales pitch' on why the brothers and their people should become vampires, and honestly—{I would've ed the vampire team, but that's me 😅}—It's made clear that the vampire's intentions are noble, I thought that made him such an interesting antagonist. Oh yeah, STAY for the post-credit scenes! But yeah, guys, this is worth seeing in theaters, especially in IMAX, if you have that option! OH YEAH—Happy Easter, y'all 🐰🐣!

I mean, a horror/thriller set in the irresistibly haunting environment of deep space and Mars, my God, give it to me now. And for all the talk about Hollywood constantly crapping out UNORIGINAL movies, I say watch this one; it's dripping in ORIGINALITY, and I guarantee you won't see a damn thing coming in this one; I'm not kidding you; I was so genuinely loving being on this ride, one because the cast is SO damn GREAT including Val-THE LEGEND-Kilmer-(RIP) and one of my favorite 90's actors Tom Sizemore-(also, RIP) and I mean the entire movie follows five people; that's it (5)—TOTAL. Secondly, the freaking soundtrack is so incredibly 90's; like, as I watched it, I was riding this crazy retro nostalgia vibe the whole time—such a BLAST💥. Lastly, I loved the CGI; I know, I'm usually the guy constantly complaining about the lack of practicality in movies, but hear me out, the CGI in here is that late 90's CGI that's honestly more endearing and it's actually kinda charming if that makes sense. Guys, I highly recommend watching this with the director's commentary on. Hearing Joe Johnston, who's a DAMN good director, his editor, and another set guy talk about how they made the film was incredibly eye-opening. Honestly, I took away two things; firstly, Joe has a legit ION for crafting great stories, and he truly loves working with his production designers; I mean, in every scene that included a practical set, he GUSHED on how intricate and painstaking it was for his crews and production designers to create and craft his visions, BUT maybe more interesting is hearing Joe and the other two talking about the challenges working within the unrealistic schedule to make this movie, I mean; let's say I don't see Joe Johnston directing any more movies for Marvel anytime soon. Also, it's hilarious listening to Joe because he's the first guy to call out all the CGI or scenes that are completely green-screen generated backgrounds like; you can hear in his voice how soul-crushing it was for him just because he wanted everything mostly practical. The last thing I'll say is that Joe and his team did their BEST to make a great movie. Still, I wish we could see the film he TRULY wanted to make, ya know, because he had a specific vision, and the truth is that Joe compromised WAY MORE than he wanted to because of lots of factors.

Pretty sure this is my favorite Jon Favreau movie, and for me, the way he shot the scene with Tony at the donut shop with Nick Fury, my God, so AWESOME—I mean, I LOVE a GREAT character arc, like this is Tony's lowest point; he's on the brink of death, he's hopeless, he's alone, he's lost his company, he's depressed, and ultimately THIS is what I like to call the CROSSROADS in Tony's hero's journey and the way Favreau is able to bring in an entirely NEW storyline in that moment to not only expand the world of what we now call the MCU with SHEILD and whatnot, but it's also the moment where Tony truly becomes the HERO of Iron Man; the more selfless, the more sincere, the more caring visionary, and most importantly, the TEAM leader, where Tony is no longer the egotistical playboy; absolutely sensational character arc, and it's one of the more important milestones in the Marvel universe that establishes a new paradigm for heroism moving forward where sacrifice and selflessness will ultimately be Iron Man's legacy, which is the freaking message Tony finally hears from his Dad—🤯🥹—phenomenal storytelling.

It's astonishing how GREAT this is, and it's not just this movie; the level of pride, care, and dedication that went into the first Marvel phase was truly inspiring. What really got me was how grounded this is, like this and The Incredible Hulk incorporated loads of practical effects, with real locations and jaw-dropping stunt work that honestly made these movies truly BLOCKBUSTERS, and now, it feels like the newer Marvel films are just flat, uninspired, and frankly lifeless—what do I mean by lifeless? Well, when they film everything on a green screen with all the actors wearing spandex with dots on them, you lose something, and by something I mean the magic; they lost the damn MAGIC. Unlike most franchises, the Mission Impossible movies have consistently grown in scale, quality, and entertainment value with each new release. I think it's important to note that I love all these movies and don't think there are any "bad" ones in the lot; in fact, the latest movie, Dead Reckoning Part 1, is not just my favorite in the series, but it's one of my favorite movies, period. What Tom Cruise has been able to do with this series is unmatched by anything else ever seen in cinema, and the ion behind each film is apparent.

  1. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning
  2. Mission: Impossible – Fallout
  3. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation
  4. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
  5. Mission: Impossible III
  6. Mission: Impossible II
  7. Mission: Impossible
