It's a plane, it's a train, it's an automobile, it's Steve Martin & John Candy and there heading home to Chicago, baby. John Hughes in my heart is one of my favorite directors. Sure, he's had some missteps with some of his other movies, but stepping away from the teen comedies and doing something else for a change was well worth it. May 4th is a very special day. It's the day we appreciate the greatness of the greatest parody movie of all time, Spaceballs. Yes, Spaceballs is still considered my favorite movie of all time. Everything about Spaceballs is just fantastic. The jokes, the other movie references, the characters, & even the damn theme song is what makes Spaceballs so great. I mean, how can you resist the catchy theme song for crying out loud!
