Yogi Bear

2010

Watched

Yup. After watching two banger movies in one day, I'm now resorting to a live action movie based on a beloved Hanna-Barbera character. Please don't ask. Dan Aykroyd & Justin Timberlake are pretty good as Yogi & Boo-Boo for such a kind of Open Season ripoff.

Also, congratulations to Yogi Bear, for quite possibly the best use of the iconic Wilhelm scream ever in cinema history. Also also, I'm counting this as a political drama commentary for the mayor shutting down Jellystone Park & endangering Yogi & Boo-Boo's habitat.

Christmas with the Kranks

2004

★½ Watched

Okay, hold on a second. Christmas with the Kranks makes absolutely no f**king sense whatsoever. So the Kranks are fed up with Christmas and don't want to decorate and want to go on a cruise instead. This pisses off their neighbors and for some reason they have a fetish for Frosty the Snowman, including Dan Aykroyd. But UH OH, the Kranks' daughter is coming home for Christmas and they don't have any decorations up for her. Now, it's a bunch…

1941

1979

★½ Watched

Almost every movie director has their lowest point, even the great Steven Spielberg with 1941. Not the year, the movie 1941. Spielberg has directed some of the most iconic movies in cinema history & then there's others like this. "A comedy spectacular", oh really now? Honestly, this felt a little like a National Lampoon movie than anything else. Oh yeah, it's also not funny and so f**king boring.

John Candy, John Belushi, & Eddie Deezen are all this but they all barely…

Nothing but Trouble

1991

★★ Watched

Wikipedia calls Nothing but Trouble an "underrated comedy." Uhhh, you call this movie underrated. Bruh, there are so many other better underrated movies with the people that were involved with this you know. However, I will give props though to Dan Aykroyd for at least trying to make his own movie and also the makeup he put on for Judge Alvin.

So, I see that John Candy also got the Jack & Jill treatment ehhh? Oh, Happy Birthday to the late…

Coneheads

1993

★★ Watched

Saturday Night Live has made some of their very iconic skits into their very own films. They have done both The Blue Brothers & Wayne's World. Both also got sequels. One was alright & one not so much. And then you've got Coneheads & oh sweet Jesus, what even is this weird-ass shit?

I just watched 3 Patrick Star alien f**kers on planet Earth. Coneheads is just so weird & it's like on Little Nicky levels of weirdness. But oh well, Chris Farley & Adam Sandler's cameo were something special, but the Coneheads characters themselves is just so weird & uninteresting.

Driving Miss Daisy

1989

★★ Watched

Another one that's kind of dated today. This probably was a great success when it first came out. I mean it did win several nominations at the Academy Awards. Also, this won over both Do the Right Thing & Dead Poets Society. SOMEHOW. I'm sorry but, both those deserved the award over this honestly.

Driving Miss Daisy is one of those where it felt good for when it first came out, but kind of gets a bad realm in today's world. Kind of like Gone with the Wind. This one is very complicated for me.

Spies Like Us

1985

★★½ Watched

Chevy Chase & Dan Aykroyd might have some chemistry together, but Spies Like Us really isn't anything special honestly. Just the two of them being sent by the government for nuclear war thinking that there spies, but are actually just two doofuses. Just imagine if they did that with characters like Beavis & Butthead. Actually, that would be kind of awesome. I'm going have to Mike Judge now.

John Landis dude. Once again I'm calling him "the king of variety" because…

The Campaign

2012

★★½ Watched

Hahahaha, funny men dressed up as Dan Quayle & Grover Cleveland in a political comedy.

Well, this was indeed something, I guess you could say.

My Fellow Americans

1996

★★★ Liked Rewatched

You know if never occurred to me that after watching My Fellow Americans again that this film is pretty much just a political satire version of Grumpy Old Men. I honestly don’t know how to feel about that. Wonder if Jack Lemmon had anything to do with this. Even though President’s Day isn’t my all time favorite holiday, I still really wanted to watch something on this day associated with a ion of mine. I can just imagine the plot…

Ghostbusters II

1989

★★★ Watched

Well, due to the success that Ghostbusters had back in 1984, the late Ivan Reitman legit told the entire the cast and said "Hey guys, do you want to do that again" and they everybody was like sure, why not and then Ghostbusters 2 happened at the end of the 80's. Well it sure is something. It's another sequel to a popular movie.

It definitely lacks the charm & memory of the 1st one & what the hell, the Stay Puft Marshmallow…

Antz

1998

★★★ Watched

I love how they replaced the S in Ants with a Z to make it look like that this is a totally radical & awesome movie & for DreamWorks Animation's very 1st film, I guess Antz is something. Yes, I already know about the rivalry between Pixar & DreamWorks about their bugs movies & which one is the better one you might ask? I gotta stick with the memorable characters & nostalgia of watching A Bug's Life as a little one.

This animated movie about…

50 First Dates

2004

★★★ Watched

Well, it's another movie with Adam Sandler. What the hell is there really to say. It's just another god damn movie with Sandler, Drew Barrymore, & probably the most bizarre cast of characters out of this world. I mean, what's the deal behind the African penguin & the walrus?

I really don't get why this was made when Sandler & Barrymore did better in The Wedding Singer 6 years earlier. However, this is not on the same level as Jack & Jill, so that's something I guess. God, how many damn Sandler movies are there in this world?
