I don’t think I can put all of my initial thoughts in one review. Though that’s always been a good thing for me. It’s strength still lies on a sort of withholding of spectacle so when it does happen you feel it on such a gut level. The sand worm ride and the final knife fight were particularly good examples of this and almost made me say “fuck yeah” out loud.

There were some story things that did bother me a little bit like the stuff with the mom and their connection to the Harkonnens. I just feel like those both should’ve been explained and foreshadowed more. Also without spoiling it, I solely blame those nuns for not having a system in place to prevent the stuff with the mom happening. They totally could’ve done something. I dunno. Nitpicks aside this really was an amazing experience and I’m definitely going to see it again while it’s still in cinemas.
