i love christopher nolan films but it is so glaringly obvious he can’t write women at all and it is clearest here. apart from that i really enjoyed although i did find the twist slightly underwhelming if im being fully honest

seeing jason schwartzman in rushmore as a odd teenage boy to seeing him as a fully fledged dilf in this was an awakening

the lighting. the acting. the music. oh my god kill me now ! 

i love when films are so intimate you feel like you’re in the moment with them, andrew scott is an absolute powerhouse in this. it’s very easy for a film to make me feel sad but i had to fight back tears in the cinema multiple times which doesn’t normally happen so it goes to show how well the emotions are conveyed. 

any piece of media with depressing levels of nostalgia attracts me like a magnet it must be said !
