This movie can honestly sort of be described as Challengers (2024) for someone who loves classic films and is into Rom-Coms. The overall storyline is great and makes sure to keep the woman as having independent thoughts, while sort of dictating the men's lives. this invoked such deep memories that i had with my own father like right after my parents were divorced and it was just me and him, when i would stay with him. Some of the best memories ive made with him then. Now i don’t see him as often as id like, but damn i genuinely have not sobbed like this over a movie. It just hit a little too close to home.
this is the beginning of the Paul Mescal Depression trilogy so i’ve heard.
