]]>Family movie night needed this. Fun stuff.
]]>idk it’s just hard to imagine giving this anything less than 5 stars.
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
The visualization of The Void alone is enough to make me love this movie forever.
]]>There is so much to love about this film. It was clearly made with a lot of heart - the music and performances are genuinely perfect and the scenery is just beautiful.
]]>I didn’t hate it. Rose Matafeo is a great voice pull. Yeah, the music isn’t as memorable but I have to say (unpopular opinion) I liked aspects of this more than the first one. FWIW my daughter is 4 and I think she connected with this one more too.
]]>Definitely a step up in quality from recent big Marvel projects. Feels like it sets a solid foundation for a key character of the MCU going forward in Sam Wilson’s Captain America. Joaquin Torres’ Falcon is a fun new side character. Harrison Ford brings something to the Thaddeus Ross role that I don’t think William Hurt could’ve quite pulled off. Giancarlo Esposito is great too. Also, the CGI was some of the best I’ve seen from them in recent years. Unfortunately I don’t think the movie itself is mind-blowing enough to recapture people’s attention in the positive way that Marvel could use right now but I really enjoyed it overall.*
*I’ve been a known post-Endgame MCU apologist so you can take all this with a grain of salt. YMMV
]]>I grew up catholic and also despise religious institutions but the catholic aesthetic and vibe will always captivate me. I want to wear red and black every day.
]]>Yeah, that robot is definitely wild. It’s undeniable.
]]>This right here is a 5-star picture and that’s all I wish to say on the matter.
]]>my daughter liked it enough. it was fine. some weird choices were made imo
]]>This hits hard with some spot-on parenting stuff. Watched it with my partner, the mother of our 4-year-old daughter, and I was shocked at how we had experienced many of the same exact situations from the movie in the past 24 hours.
]]>The classic Dr. Manhattan sequence is awesome in this. It was cool seeing the pirate comic properly threaded in there too.
]]>Weird as hell. Watched with my 4-year-old and was getting real scared it was about to be a devastating ending but thankfully…
]]>CERTIFIED OCCULT BANGER
]]>This thing was firing on all cylinders. Hits all the cliche biopic notes but in the best ways. Timothée is solidified as elite, if he wasn’t already.
]]>Just a lovely little motion picture.
]]>STRESSFUL (complimentary)
]]>I’m forced to watch all these Christmas movies every year and this one was fine. I did not hate it and that’s sometimes the most you can ask for with this sort of thing.
]]>Nice fun stuff for kids and their adults.
]]>As far as this genre goes, Hot Frosty is about as good and fun as you can find.
]]>Damn this hits pretty hard.
]]>Cute. Fun.
]]>Surprisingly GREAT. Love me some witches and shit.
]]>EVIL DIES TONIGHT (please)
]]>brutal stuff but i enjoyed it
]]>good shit.
]]>I loved the setup but it just felt like it didn’t really do too much after that.
]]>some fun stuff. watching an absolutely unhinged Niles Crane is worth it.
]]>my main takeaway is that we are light desperately trying to escape the flesh
]]>these are starting to blend together for me but they’re fun
]]>just watched the watchers, AMA
]]>Detached Kirsten Dunst gotta be one of my favorite genres
]]>art.
]]>[hyperventilating]
]]>it was fine, kinda dark for my 4-year-old I think lol
]]>I randomly found the graphic novel at my local library and ended up loving it so I was super exited to see there was a movie in the works. Really enjoyed the movie. Great animation style and the colors are just beautiful.
]]>Not very good. There's something I like about the animation style but everything else is pretty low effort I'm afraid.
]]>Love me some Peter.
]]>Eddie definitely has unreal charisma, just oozing. But that damn song happens way too much.
]]>Full transparency, this was our first time taking my almost-4-year-old daughter to the theatre so it had some added emotional context for me.
Even though a lot of the depth went straight over her head, my partner and I kept glancing at each other like "oh boy, we really made a whole sovereign being, huh?"
]]>Not amazing but can’t hate it. Too much Rihanna music unfortunately.
]]>Watched this a couple times in background chunks with my daughter but this was the first time we all watched it together all the way through as a family. It’s really good. Had to jack up my rating by .5 stars because the animated landscapes are just beautiful.
]]>a mf snail gets possessed by the essence of car
]]>This is a beautifully-layered little picture.
]]>This shit is Shakespearean. There should be more movies like this.
]]>I am the witch of the wood.
]]>This movie rules. I like Glen Powell now?
Gary Johnson: Chillest dude imaginable.
]]>Animation holds up, pretty fun voice cast, and the ending music sequence is dope.
