I recently revisited this because I've been exploring some of the older Australian horror films from the 70's and I wanted to see where this genre got it's roots . In doing so, it gave me a whole new appreciation for this film. It really focuses a lot on the landscape, and truly takes you on an odyssey through the outback. It may be style over substance, but going in this time prepared for that, I thought it was a…

Evil Dead Rise

I'm a fan of everything Evil Dead associated, including the 3 season series that came out a few years ago on Starz. That being said, it's never been about the intricate plot or storyline, and I knew there was only so many times they can rehash the material.

I thought they did a good job with the 2013 version (even if they completely abandoned the comedy aspect). This one was a nice continuation of where the 2013 one left off,…

A super fun and obviously over the top zombie movie with a big budget and an all star cast. Absolutely wall to wall action packed and tons of gross out scenes but it never takes itself too seriously. And you shouldn’t either. Perfect for friends, pizza and beer.

This is kind of a home invasion meets Red Dawn in Canada. It has a great ensemble cast and it plays as a taught and tense thriller all playing out over one night. I loved it and it was nearly perfectly executed.

Well, I loved this movie even though it's somewhat campy and predictable. I've always been fascinated by the concept of A.I. developing its own intelligence and going out of our control. In a certain way this is kind of the 2023 version of Childs Play, but I think this will reach an even wider audience.

Do we have a new horror franchise on our hands?! let's hope the next one is R rated 🤞

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Certified 70's classic. Relentless paranoia, alien horror that has an A list cast. A master class in suspense in the tradition of Hitchcock, and every bit as effective. More dialogue than gore but enough creepy special effects to make you sleep with the lights on for a week. It's a great story and this is already the second time it's been put to film but It's certainly not the last. In 1992 the legendary Abel Ferrara, with a screenplay by Stuart Gordon released a version, and then yet again in 2007 Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig star in one. Long live the Body Snatchers 👾
