A considerable improvement over Part One now that things are starting to move towards a more grand action spectacle, but spectacle is all it appears to be. Any plot or conflict appears as thin as the paper it was written on, with compelling villains (Austin Butler, mostly) squandered, a love story with no chemistry (Zendaya better hope her face doesn't get stuck in that scowl), and a rise to power easily obtained. It all just goes with the flow - no resistance. Still, this is a beautifully shot and scored film with vision, but it needs more soul.
