Why was this lit so poorly? Truly dull cinematography considering the same man was responsible for 2001: A Space Odyssey. 

Not to be a hater! This is still a cosy whodunnit with an insanely stacked cast (although I didn’t like Albert Finney’s Poirot).

Can a valid criticism of a documentary be that it was almost too perfect?

Pretty good!

 But if you want me to take your work seriously you can’t use a cover of Creep by Radiohead (especially sung by a children’s choir?).

If I’m being honest this is probably more of a four star watch (I just love how immersive Guadagnino’s films are).

However, I can’t ignore how much the ending disappointed me and how much Dakota Johnson’s character bugged me.

Ralph Fiennes delivers an insanely good performance though!!

While bolder than I expected it’s also unfortunately a bit clumsy and forced in places. Ralph Fiennes is genuinely great in this, but Stanley Tucci feels miscast. I truly love the idea of this and the cinematography is beautiful but as a whole it feels surprisingly forgettable.
