the horror of letting someone to see you, truly see you is already unbearable on its own. but how would it translate if you knew it was temporarily? how can one describe nudity of soul to one that you might eventually forget? how can you keep the memories without suffocating on it? will you forget? do you want to forget?

i love movies that give me existential crisis but also my favorite part is donnies analysis on smurfs and sex

on this episode of there’s a thin line between falling for someone and losing your entire sense of identity by morphing onto them. can’t put all of my thoughts together but you do get the gist.

“i want to talk to you, without speaking”

been a few hours since i finished my first watch and I’ve been desperately trying to put my thoughts together in a way that would make sense. this is probably my favorite work by luca after bones and all (if not more, depends on future rewatches) but man. 

the story of two incredibly repressed men seeking companionship onto each other, a story of yearning for what you already have next to you, a story of how queerness will always come alongside fear and loneliness, regardless if you might have someone into your arms or not. the acting of Craig genuinely had me Speechless and i can’t believe how he wasn’t nominated for it. i know Starkeys acting might not be appealing for anyone but for me Eugenes character and his repression to the point of flinching at touch, or running away of a loving feeling is exactly what captivated me with him, and i think as someone who repressed being queer this story ached my heart a lot. i love queer stories who show the fear and emptiness that comes with not accepting your reality, with feeling disembodied. 

i absolutely love how Luca is getting more and more daring with his movies. he’s a fucking visionary.

when i think about that stuff, it feels like someone took a shovel and dug out all of my insides. And I know there’s nothing in there, but I’m still too nervous to open myself and check. 

it’s been thirty minutes since i stopped watching and i still cant find myself to write down the words on how it felt on me. how every dialogue was a punch in the gut. am i going to end up that way? am i also someone else that’s buried under there? am i too scared to fully open and check it out? do i still have time? will i ever have time? i think there is still time. there is still time left that one day i will be able to catch up and dig it out. 

probably a movie i will never forget about.
