Simply a brilliant serial killer movie, I absolutely loved it! There was intense suspense throughout, the camerawork was brilliant with a very cinematic feel involving tilted panning and distorted POV shots to show Helen's agoraphobia. The soundtrack was cool too. The performances by the leads Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter are both excellent and they have great chemistry. This was clearly inspired by The Silence Of The Lambs but Sigourney Weaver plays an agoraphobe here which puts a spin on…

Been meaning to watch this movie for ages, it's the final one of Peter Berg's gritty "trilogy" based on real life disasters all starring Mark Wahlberg in everyman roles. I liked Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon so I'm glad to say Patriots Day is another brilliant movie! They all deserve more attention, they're underseen on here in of 2010s cinema.

First off, I don't really the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. At the time I was only 14. This…

As expected, great acting by Jake Gyllenhaal! Always cool to see Clancy Brown who plays his father in this. There are some particularly brilliant scenes like when Jeff breaks down in the car or when he meets Carlos which was very touching. I didn't know beforehand about the true story this is based on which is mainly why I'm feeling lukewarm toward it. It's not one of the more memorable or powerful drama stories I've seen but it's perfectly watchable.…

May hasn't been a particularly good month for me. Safe to say my Mission rewatches haven't fully gone to plan. I've had to skip rewatching Ghost Protocol - Fallout but will hopefully do so anyway in June! As a result I jumped from MI3 to this which was my first time watching a MI movie in cinemas.

The idea of rogue AI as a MI villain is an interesting one because of how topical it is. It's far more sci-fi…

The road to The Final Reckoning begins! My most anticipated movie this year.

What a fun and exciting time 1996 must've been for those old enough to ! The fact that both Mission: Impossible (the movies, I've never seen the original TV show) and Scream began that year is awesome, amongst the best of their respective genres. They share quite a few things actually. Obviously both began in 1996, they both feature masks and both are owned by Paramount. Unlike…

Randy: Stab 2? Who'd want to do that? Sequels suck.

...

Oh please please! By definition alone they're inferior films.

Mickey: It's bullshit generalisation, many sequels have sured their original.

Randy: Oh yeah?

Cici: Name one.

...

Mickey: T2.

🤩
Based Mickey! I'm gonna it it. There are sooo many sequels I enjoy and think are better than their originals. It's probably with the benefit of hindsight since many of them released after this movie did. I'm not talking strictly…
